Joy Bhattacharjya was been a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders and the IPL journey since the first auction in 2008 to 2014. Joy is today the Project Director of the FIFA under 17 world cup that is scheduled to happen in India under the aegis of FIFA and AIFF.
He also consults with Wisden India and is a member of the CII’s National Committee On Sport.
He has conducted workshops on team building and leadership through sport for the likes of SAP Labs, Lehar Pepsi and IIM Kolkata.
Joy has spent the majority of his 20 working years directly associated with Indian sport, and was privileged to be one of IMG Media’s first employees in India working on Indian football and cricket.
He appeared on air as a stats expert for ESPN on their game show, Super Selector and the ratings system, which he helped design. He also won an Indian Television Award for ‘Super Selector’ and was appointed as ESPN’s Head of Production for South Asia.
Post his stint with ESPN, he worked with National Geographic and History Channel as their Head Of Programming for South Asia.
